What we do

We focus on the Internet of Things (IoT) and web consultancy

The Internet of Things

Recent technological developments have made it viable to connect small devices to the internet and this opens up whole new areas of development. And it’s fun.

There’s a lot of IoT work being done in robotics, control systems for energy management and security, but the real action may eventually happen by joining together various bits of tech. One thought is to have a weather station, perhaps with soil moisture content sensing, connected via the mobile phone network to report to a base station. This may be appropriate for farming and small airfield applications.

Web consultancy

Sometimes it can be useful to have an independent view of the possibilities of a website, its associated apps and web services - and this is something we can do. We've been developing conventional websites, Windows applications that communicate with back-end databases over the web and software to support web operations since 1997. In that time we've experienced a lot of change, and expect change to be a constant for some while yet.

Here is the portfolio of some of the websites that we created while it was our core business.

Industry sectors of expertise

Since we have had fairly long careers we've worked in, or for people in, a variety of sectors including:

  • Arts, dance, theatre and photography
  • Corporate video
  • Electronics engineering and manufacturing
  • Engineering – electronic, mechanical, structural
  • Equestrianism
  • General Aviation
  • Language translation
  • Manufacturing
  • Professional schools - cooking, gardening
  • Property – letting, the built environment
  • Radar - including radar entomology (a niche market) and anti-collision for cars
  • Software development

Do we know everything? No, certainly not!
